Diversity, equity, and inclusion work has never been more important in higher education. Sign up for our free 10-day program to sample our suite of best-in-class diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training through two on-demand courses:
Implicit Bias in Higher Education
Learn about your implicit biases that affect your understanding, actions, and decisions about other people.
Implicit bias refers to the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner. It encompasses both favorable and unfavorable assessments, which are activated involuntarily and operate on autopilot. We all have implicit biases that show up every day in our actions and interactions with others. This course is most beneficial to anyone unfamiliar with implicit bias or interested in exploring the application of implicit bias within the context of higher education.
Intersectionality in Higher Education
Take an intersectional approach to create more inclusive environments for your students and colleagues.
Intersectionality is a theoretical framework that illustrates how social identities are interconnected and create overlapping systems of oppression. By having an intersectional mindset when engaging with your students and colleagues, you are better able to demonstrate that they can be their full selves. This course is most beneficial to anyone unfamiliar with the concept of intersectionality or interested in exploring the application of this concept within the context of higher education.
