Show gratitude to your donors through impactful video stewardship.
Overview
Developing videos for your donors can seem daunting, especially when you have a lot to say and only 60-90 seconds to say it. However, using video as a tool to communicate not only meaningful information but also gratitude to your donors can change the game in your stewardship efforts.
Producing videos that show gratitude and impact for your donors not only ensures a great initial impression, but it will also give you the opportunity to ensure that your donors stay engaged with your institution for years to come.
Join us online to learn how you can use video in your stewardship process by choosing appropriate messaging and tone, as well as knowing how to coach speakers to showcase their passion. During the webcast, you will hear how Towson University has used ThankView technology to communicate gratitude to their new donors. You will leave this program with newfound knowledge on how to strategize and develop your own stewardship videos.
Who should attend?
This webcast will benefit annual giving or donor relations professionals looking to steward donors through videos. No prior video production experience is needed.
Agenda
Our expert instructor will cover the following considerations to help you strategically develop and execute stewardship videos:
Getting to the WHY Behind the Thanks
Impactful messaging is grounded in the knowledge of why you’re giving thanks in the first place. Learn how to identify the reasons behind stewarding a first-time donor through video.
Balancing Storytelling and Data when Developing the Script
Knowing the best approach when communicating impact to your donor stems from the conversations you have with the student(s) and/or staff in the development phase. Learn the process behind identifying the right data to exchange with your team and how to balance it with the impact story you share with the donor.
Combining Action with Passion when Speaking to the Camera
To capture and hold the attention of the donor you’re thanking, it’s crucial to ensure that genuine passion shines through from the speaker. In this section, you will learn the best practices for editing your video and for coaching your speakers to best communicate their gratitude.
