Engage with a cohort of other Chief Human Resources Officers to build your network, explore common issues you face, share current practices, and increase your effectiveness.
Overview
Today’s landscape in higher education can be defined as the constant churning of employees, with an increasing number of individuals leaving and smaller pools of candidates applying for open positions. Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) provide critical leadership in enhancing the workplace to attract and retain a quality workforce, often without the support of peers at their institutions.
To lead the strategic work of human resources in a challenging macro-environment, it is essential to develop deeper self-awareness of your strengths and opportunities as a leader. Similarly, CHROs benefit from the support and community that can only be provided by others who have served in or who are serving in the role. This roundtable will provide you with the opportunity to engage with a cohort of CHROs in order to take a step back and consider the challenges and opportunities in your role from a daily operational and strategic big-picture lens. Join your colleagues in this one-of-a-kind roundtable setting to build your network, explore the common challenges you face, and share your own expertise.
Highlights of the program include:
- Leadership Assessment: Through Academic Impressions’ Five Paths to Leadership℠ Self-Assessment, individual readings, and group discussions, you will discover how you show up as a leader in typical circumstances and under stress.
- One-on-One Consultation: You will have an individual session with one of the program speakers to work through any questions or challenges you may be encountering. During this session, you will have the opportunity to work through how you plan to implement learning from the roundtable.
- HireEd Careers by Academic Impressions One-on-One Consultation: Share your unique challenges and successes, and hear how your peers across higher education are addressing the recruitment of diverse faculty and staff. Learn about our free resources and speak directly to an expert from HireEd Careers.
- Come away with a crowd-sourced repository of templates, sample language, and other resources that you can refer to and use to inform your future work.
To preserve an intimate and productive experience, this roundtable will be capped at 12 attendees.
