Accessibility Statement
Validated May 2024
Academic Impressions is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We have partnered with a 3rd party website accessibility firm to periodically evaluate our web accessibility and provide guidance on ensuring conformance with the latest standards. Our partner is committed to helping websites meet the WCAG and 508 requirements to support ADA compliance.
Please note that this is an ongoing process and by partnering with a 3rd party we have a team of experts on our side to help us stay on top of the ever changing environment from code to compliance requirements.
Measures to support accessibility
Academic Impressions takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the website:
- Appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson.
- Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.
- Hired an Accessibility Specialist to help ensure we are meeting the WCAG and 503 criteria
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
The Accessibility Certification associated with this site confirms that it has gone through a full site ADA Compliance audit and that our team is working to resolve all issues to the best of our ability with advice from our Accessibility Expert.
Our goal is to meet Level AA standard put forth by the WCAG, however in some areas it may not be possible due to platform limitation or third party applications. In these cases we will make a notation on our Accessibility Report.
As a result, the content on this site has been made more accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitive and combinations thereof.
Our Accessibility Expert runs a full site audit every six (6) months to help us remain in compliance as our code changes and the WCAG standards improve over time.
