Ross Conover
Since his arrival at St. Mary’s in 2013, Ross has worked to develop an institution-wide student retention plan, rooted in research and supported by data and strategic analytics. He works closely with various divisions to bridge the retention and student success initiatives in an attempt to streamline efforts and provide a campus-wide scope for student success. He successfully implemented an early alert program as a way to help students as well as collect data and develop a predictive model to address success barriers and develop programs to address pervasive issues affecting student retention.
Ross completed his graduate work at Drexel University in higher education administration with a concentration in institutional research and planning, where the focus of his research was the retention of at-risk students, specifically low-income and first-generation students. Additionally, he is nearing the completion of a second graduate program in predictive analytics from Northwestern University.
