Vincent Windrow
Vincent has principal responsibility for the leadership and oversight of many high impact initiatives here at the University. Under his direction, the Scholars Academy – our high-profile summer bridge program – was scaled from 32 to 167 participants and boasts an 85% first year retention rate. Vincent, who received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from MTSU, also oversees and leads our Black Male Initiative that develops and implements special programming for that population. Additionally, he coordinates the Student Success Summit that kicks off the academic year for freshmen, sophomores and transfers that helps get those students off on the right foot. The University’s Retention Summit, which attracts higher education administrators and practitioners from across the state, also directly benefits from his leadership. As a way to help freshmen students recover from a potentially disastrous first semester, Vincent created and leads the award-winning REBOUND program.
