Sherrie Weldon
Chief Marketing Officer, Lynn University
Weldon is responsible for building the Lynn brand. As a member of the university cabinet, she provides strategic direction and oversight for the university’s marketing and communications. Her career has spanned more than 20 years of corporate communications and marketing agency roles in New York, London, and San Francisco. She has worked for leading brands including Sony, Philips, HP, Xerox, and Florida State University.
Since joining Lynn University in 2013, Weldon has aligned marketing priorities with the university’s strategic plan and helped incorporate the Lynn brand into the campus culture. Her contributions include university-wide brand guidelines, a new athletics brand for Lynn’s national champion Fighting Knights, and international recognition for the university’s innovative iPad-powered learning program.
Weldon and her team were finalists for the 2018 AMA Higher Ed Marketing Team of the Year. They were also awarded Consumer Marketing Campaign of the Year for Lynn University’s “College Reimagined” campaign at the 12th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business. The campaign also received the Gold Educational Advertising Award.
