Jon-Stephen Stansel

Jon-Stephen Stansel is the Social Media Coordinator for Texas State University, where he leads the social media efforts of the Office of University Marketing. Prior to that, he served as International Communication Manager at the University of Central Arkansas, where he worked to promote the goals of UCA’s office of international engagement through specialized marketing materials, promotional videos, and social media. During his time at UCA, he created and maintained a social media strategies that created a stronger international community on campus, promoted the work of the international engagement office, and increased international student recruitment. He is a strong believer in the positive impact social media can have on international education and is always eager to share his experiences with others. He has presented at several state, national, and international conferences such as NAFSA, HighEdWeb, and the International Conference on Innovation in Information Technology in Buenos Aires. In addition, he has taught courses in social media marketing to small business owners and conducted social media training sessions for university faculty and staff.
