Erin E. Stringer

Director of Reunion Giving, Washington and Lee University

Erin Stringer is the Director of Reunion Giving at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. With a background deeply rooted in fostering alumni connections and engagement, Erin has played pivotal roles in higher education advancement. Prior to her current position, Erin served as the Director of Alumni and Parent Relations at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC, her alma mater, where she cultivated strong relationships within the college community. 

Erin’s dedication to young alumni engagement is underscored by her tenure as the Associate Director of Young Alumni Programs at Gettysburg College. There, she spearheaded initiatives to establish and manage a volunteer board of young alumni, facilitating meaningful interactions between the college and its recent graduates. Her work extended beyond the board to encompass the entire young alumni population, enhancing their connection to and support for Gettysburg College. 

Before transitioning to higher education, Erin honed her skills on Capitol Hill, where she served as a press aide and a clerk in the House of Representatives. This experience provided her with a unique perspective on communications and relationship-building, skills that she has since applied to her work in alumni relations and fundraising. 

Erin holds a deep commitment to fostering lifelong connections between alumni and their alma maters, and she is dedicated to enhancing the alumni experience through strategic engagement initiatives.
