Justin Sipher

In this newly created senior administrator position, Justin works to bring together the libraries and information technology departments in effective and efficient ways to strategically keep pace with the evolving needs of the St. Lawrence students, faculty, and staff. Prior to his current role Justin was the Chief Technology Officer at Skidmore College. As the top information technology executive at Skidmore, Justin was responsible for facilitating strategic leadership for the information technology division, which included all aspects of institutional computing services, voice/video/data networking, multimedia services, and telephony. While at Skidmore Justin partnered with the college librarian proposing and executing a multi-million dollar renovation of the library including additional student study and collaboration spaces, more instructional spaces, remapping the collection, and bringing into the building appropriate resource to support the academic mission.

Justin is on the Board of Directors of EDUCAUSE as well as NYSERNet.org. He has consulted at numerous institutions and presented at state and national events over the past fifteen years. He recently served as the faculty director of the EDUCAUSE Management Institute.
