John Lauer

John has held multiple positions within housing, residential life, dining, and conferences at both public and private higher education institutions over his twenty-five year career. In his role as senior associate dean of students/director of residential life, John oversees multiple areas of the division including residential life, conferences and events, campus safety, counseling, student health, the wellness resource center, and the college’s emergency planning group.

John has been active in ACUHO-I, serving in leadership and presenting programs at both the regional and national level. He is also a member of NASPA. Colorado College is one of three institutions currently highlighting student housing projects as part of ACUHO-I’s 21st Century Project.
